Pistonheads has a variety of threads covering a vast array of topics. Which are the threads that you've enjoyed reading? Perhaps they are entertaining, useful or educational. Perhaps they demonstrate what is good about the PH community or they just make you laugh.

Conversely, which are the threads you dislike for whatever reason?

LIKE:

Absolute Beginners Car Maintenance
Enjoy reading through this and seeing how the OP is getting on and learning new skills. Great to see someone willing to get stuck in (and the support he's getting from other members).

Tools you wish you'd bought sooner...
Cost me some money over the years, some great suggestions from knowledgeable people.

br d's annual road trip thread
Great fun but also very open and honest given what the OP has gone through over the last number of years.

Not a fan of this thread. Just seems a bit snarky for the sake of it.

I loved that thread about the prototype testing of the mk1 Focus RS, pictures of it being tested on the stelvio pass and comments around different states of tune.

Thats what I really love to read about on here.

I joined up many years ago to seek help on an issue that stumped our workshop.

Stuck around as I've followed many similar threads.

Love the readers car's threads, and the PH write ups.

Occasionally look at the news threads, it's interesting to hear "normal" people's views.

The best thread by an absolute country mile is the show us pictures of your dogs thread in all creatures great and small. Savagely upsetting when dogs that have featured on the thread for years are lost, but genuinely uplifting seeing so many happy dogs enjoying life.

Not sure I have any I don’t like, I just tend to ignore them rather than continue to read them.

Got to agree with Antony and the dogs thread.

One thread I looked at once in the early days and never again was the pictures to make your teeth itch - because it did.

Most threads are interesting but I do avoid the ones where people list the things they dislike, a lot of people defined by the things they hate. There was one particular hateful one recently that the mods took uncomfortably long to lock, can you imagine if it was hating on some ethnic group it would have been left so long? But somehow as it was a more disparate but still visible group it was ok.

Love: The camera can capture some fantastic moments. Marvellous thread.

Hate: the thread that slags off chavvy personal registrations. Each to their own, live and let live ffs.

The ‘Piggies’ thread in All Creatures Great & Small is a favourite - otherwise enjoy the majority of readers cars.

I generally enjoy the threads relating to car restoration/maintenance. I have nothing but admiration for anyone that has those skills, and the threads tend to be very supportive.

I hate (and I do mean hate) all of the threads on ‘flag sh***ers’, reform, immigration etc. Utterly depressing, for obvious reasons.

Any Cricket thread - nice people.

Dogs - lovely thread

I spend probably too long on the Politics threads but it’s good to have your bmvuews challenged and it’s largely respectful.

Gambles in the finance thread

Threads I dislike.

I like the photos of today's ride thread in pedal powered. The I hate cyclists thread was weird.

Threads I dislike are primarily set up to be nasty, such as the bad parking thread, personal number plates. Oh and most of the advanced driving ones.

The dogs thread by a country mile is the best one on PH imo.
