EM2 1505 "Ariadne" at Museum of Science and Industry
Discussion
I visited in December. I found the information provided with the exhibits in the power hall very poor.
As a mechanical engineer, I didn't need more interpretation, but only a few words for each exhibit wan't enough for an enthusiastic child.
There was no mention of why the Manchester-Sheffield locomotive was displayed in Dutch livery for example.

The entire hall felt flat and missing something to me. Plenty of people walking round but not showing much interest in anything. Half the locos were hidden behind another one.As a mechanical engineer, I didn't need more interpretation, but only a few words for each exhibit wan't enough for an enthusiastic child.

That information board is an embarrassment.
I don't think there's much you can do to make an EM2 look interesting. Even by the low bar of electric locomotives it's an dull thing to to behold. The only remotely interesting thing about it for me is that I had (still have actually) the old Tri-ang model, which smelled nice and could be switched between track or overhead power collection.
