Hi,

I'm aware that 75% of the STO panels are carbon.

Does anyone know if any of the blue parts in the photos below are carbon parts? I'd like to get the blue parts converted to exposed carbon or understand if the blue parts are actually single individual parts that can be removed so I can get them painted even if they are not carbon?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, they're both carbon and the rear piece can't be removed, it's attached to the bumper.

It can be removed with a Dremmel and a craft knife

If they are carbon, then get the paint sanded off and the carbon lacquered

Thank you.

A friend mentioned this recently too but said the carbon might not be aesthetically fit for purpose, as they might have filler or th weave my be mismatched.

I am suprised that I can’t find a photo of an STO online with these parts in carbon, and maybe that is the reason why?

Your friend is correct, you can't just strip the paint and the clear the carbon. It won't look good.
