People that wont shut doors after them
Discussion
What is it with these people, thankfully I don't have that many guests but when people do come round it seems they are absolutely incapable of shutting a door after themselves. Now I'm not talking about a kitchen door or living room door but the front and back doors. Take the person that works for us for a start, he comes to my house in the morning, I leave the door unlocked for him and he just waltzes in leaving the front door wide open behind him, same on the way out. If he gets something from my workshop at the back its the same story with the back door. If he is working at my house and goes for a piss, front door wide open again so I shut it, he comes out and leaves it swinging again. this is despite me pleading with him to shut it after him many times.
Mr stinky (from another thread) came round this morning to borrow my car ramps, he walked in the front door leaving it wide open, followed me into the shed leaving the back door just the same. Other people do similar as well, yet if they have a s
t in my house it seems they are incapable of opening a window.
Its the middle of winter, do these people have absolutely no concept of the cost of gas at all? In the case of our apprentice its not like he is thick, he's just spent a year living in Australia and Thailand and managed not to kill himself. I go out of my way to make sure a door is shut after me, even in a shop.

My wife - her friends come over to drop something.
They talk at the doorstep ... door wide open.
I've gotten to pushing her out and talk outside or asking her friend to come in.
s
t for brains, the lot of them.
She normally walks over to the Hive thermostat and boosts the temp for a couple of hours.

These are the same cretins that ll abandon their vehicle in the middle of a petrol station forecourt with the engine running and driver s door left wide open whilst they go and do a quick shop.
Wonder if you’re legally OK to drive it to a safer area, lock it and give the keys to the owner while they shop?Freakuk said:
That's my wife all over.
She finds it impossible to shut doors, she'll gladly walk outside and leave the front/back door open and let all of the heat out and cold air in which annoys the hell out of me.
I married her twin sister. Heat The Street as I glowingly refer to her.She finds it impossible to shut doors, she'll gladly walk outside and leave the front/back door open and let all of the heat out and cold air in which annoys the hell out of me.
When I was working we had a reception with a UPVC door into the main waiting area.
I would say 50% of people would come in and just leave it open. Then walk out through the open door and leave it swinging.
We also had 2 other problems. People yanking - and I mean full force - on the door handle, despite a sign that clearly said push - as it was an inward opening door. Sometimes people would ring the office "scuse me mate I am outside but your door is locked...." erm no read the MASSIVE yellow sign on the door that says push.....
The other one was people who SLAM the door then lift the handle to engage the frame locks like they were pulling the ejection handle on an F16... because thats what they do at home. In 15 years we replaced the handle at least 5 times. Every single time someone would snap it off they would just put if down on the side and walk off... ffs.
Seems people dont "door much" these days.
