Q s: A3 retro fitting camera, parking sensors, key, cambelt
Discussion
Looking at used Audi A3 8v 2014-2017 model
How much is a spare remote key as only coming with one?
Petrol 1.4t , what to budget for cambelt and waterpump?
Doesn’t come with rear parking sensors, so would ideally like a rear reversing camera or parking sensors, likely cost and is it easy to have an oem finish?
Thanks

The camera, rear parking sensors and spare key would be roughly £300, £300 and £200 at average local fitter prices.
Not all garages have the tools required for cambelts on the 1.4 / 1.5 T(F)SI, so expect to pay a bit more than usual for cambelt replacement - perhaps around £600 from an independent VAG specialist. Note that UK guidance on replacement intervals is now in line with European markets, meaning it's much longer than before.
These are all desirable things you might want on an 8V Audi, but only you can decide whether they're worth it and whether a car might come up for sale with all already done.

I think you're low on all of those.
If you want OE parking sensors you're looking at an easy £600, probably 7-800 for the camera. Chinesium ones will be less and of unknown quality/performance. £300 for a key (avoid the mobile cloning people).
Unless this A3 is costing you very little I'd look at buying one that's a better match of what you want to start with. Will be easier and probably cheaper.

for proper factory looking and working OEM options you need to use somewhere like this,
https://www.vw-retrofit.co.uk/
I got used to the rear camera on my last Golf but the current one doesn't have it. I looked at adding it but I couldnt find somewhere near me doing the proper OEM factory stuff. Lots of places claiming they could do it for £200 but digging deeper it was 3rd party hardware that wouldnt have looked or worked like the factory option.
The proper OEM rear camera upgrade was £550 iirc.
No experience of using the place above, it was just one i googled

I’ve had oem camera and generally turn off the turn lines; I’ve had aftermarket head units with camera , either Android or Sony/ pioneer - as long as it turns on in reverse and a clear view - I’m happy.
But know what you mean, oem clean and simplicity does win
Don't know if A3 is the same but I bought a Carplay unit for my S4 Avant and, at the same time a reversing camera which is actually a replacement handle with camera built in just like the OEM unit.
Now, I'm not sure if the camera works directly into the car or only with the carplay unit but I'm fairly certain it was advertised as being compatible with the car? and it certainly works/looks like the OEM version.
It was a few years back but only cost around £60 IIRC, easy enough to fit, the worst part being running the cable from the tailgate to the dashboard.
I got it from Unique Auto Developments; https://unique-ad.co.uk/about/
