I hate cyclists

Had to go into York this morning, Mrs had an appointment, and parking is a pain,
plan as before, drop her off go get a coffee, collect when ready (usually under an hour)
half a mile from drop off, passed a group of nutters on bikes (why race round a city centre?) next set of lights turning right, as they changed one went up the inside, one went on the outside, I was following another car so doing about 10mph,
braked to avoid the two organ doners,
one behind almost ran in the back of me,
they all regrouped into usual three abreast and wobbled off up the road,
thank god for front and rear dashcams had I hit one,

Part of the problem may be that York is not a car friendly place. I have a friend who lives on Bishopthorpe Road and has given up using a car, hopeless in York.
I agree your position on cyclists, I have been knocked to the ground twice by London cyclists, they didn't even look round as they rode off

I think cyclists don't really help themselves.
In the OP's situation I would guess they got surprised by the cyclists, you cannot predict which side of your car they will be, etc so understand the irritation.
I think the OP should be grateful they didn't squash one and let someone else have that opportunity, they'll get squashed soon enough because they are making assumptions about driver's abilities to miss them and it won't end well.

Just dropped in to say, pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists have the right to use the road enshrined in law. Motorised vehicle drivers are there by privilege only. Make of that what you will.

Nope, you're labouring under the misconception that everyone who thinks cyclists aren't behaving on the road is labouring under that misconception. As per usual, a cyclist is refusing to accept reality and projecting to defend their indefensible position.
You're the one trying to put words in the mouths of others to justify an attack on them.
Only one group of road users is actually trying to change the laws to ensure that anyone else is held responsible over them, regardless of who is actually at fault... Which group are they?
Can you remind me why cyclists shouldn't have to share the road?

Got it.
No apology, even just a perfunctory one nor a simple admission of being wrong.
This is why people hate cyclists.
Where I live, they never stop for pedestrian crossings. They also seem to want to completely ignore the cycle lane that was built for them, and still insist on cycling on the (now narrower because of the cycle lane) road.
