My folks are after a new TV, less than £1k and they would like LCD if poss (I'm not sure why to be honest, is the picture quality better than normal TV?).

Does anyone have any links to any good deals at the moment and/or any advice?

Cheers

How big does it have to be. There's a great Toshiba 27" just out in the £600-700 range...

our very own Derestrictor's Digital Direct|www.digitaldirect.co.uk may have the answers.

Failing that, Richer Sounds are offering all sorts of apparent bargains, and now seem to specialise in flat panel tellies. Their service has gone down the pan in recent years IME.

Make sure they get an 'HD ready' panel - it will be required to receive high definition broadcasts due to start next year.
