Not seen one in red before; suits the car well.

There's a typo in the listing that makes it look like mileage goes down between 24 and 25.

Not sure if I'm missing something here, but from the evidence presented did this car go from 2012 to 2023 and 30000+ miles without a service? Toyota may produce well engineered engines, but there is a limit if the owners fail to do the basics

Something not right here. Does Paul go by the name number cole on Facebook. One of the ads is clearly a scam.
Poor service history and ac not working?? Really surprised that piston heads have taken this on.

Is there any record of the replacement of the following in the history file? Some of these things are typical early Evora weaknesses:
Clutch replacement (not just the master cylinder):

Air con condensors and/or compressor
Gear cables
Mudflap brackets
Handbrake cable
Brake disks / pads

There seems to be an 11 year gap between recorded services (2012 - 2023) - and an error in the description for the mileage at the 2024 and 2025 services (the mileage goes up - not down!).

Thanks for the questions – happy to clarify.

Clutch:
On early Evoras the clutch typically needs replacing anywhere around 40k - 50k miles, depending on use and driving style. This car is still on its original clutch and is operating correctly with no slip or issues. The master cylinder has been addressed previously, which is common on these cars.

Air conditioning:
The car currently shows as mechanically OK, but the A/C compressor is not functioning, which is reflected in the price. Condensers and compressors are known Evora weak points, as mentioned.

Service history:
The car does have a full service history. The apparent gap between 2012 and 2023 is due to documentation not being uploaded into the online listing system, not a lack of servicing. The physical history file supports this.
There is also a listing typo where the mileage appears to go down between services in 2024 and 2025 – the mileage does, of course, increase and this will be corrected.

Brakes:
Brake discs and pads are in good condition and do not require replacement at present.

Facebook advert confusion:
The Facebook Marketplace advert that’s being discussed was posted by my daughter, who was trying to help by testing the market at a higher figure to attract serious interest. It was not intended to mislead and has since been adjusted/removed. Any ad that appears inconsistent or unrealistic should be disregarded.

Happy to answer any other genuine questions and provide supporting paperwork where needed.

Thanks for the clarification - it would be worth adding photos of all the service stamps in the book. Also regarding the air con compressor - this is an expensive job in terms of both labour and the cost of the part.

What’s the estimate please for sorting the AC compressor plus labour? We looking at around £3k all in or would it be more?

Great colour for an Evora and a 2+2 love

No photo of the airbag cover, how has it stood up to the test of time? Also be useful to know which gearbox, short or long ratios?

EDIT: sorry, just watched the video and the airbag cover looks good smile

Returning to the service history - please clarify / confirm:

- The service book has only 4 stamps - 2011, 2012, 2023 and 2024?
- There is one other service invoice, for 2025

You mentioned in your previous reply that it has a “full service history” but it has not been evidenced here. Can I suggest you upload the missing info / invoices (or ask the PH team to do so) - you simply aren’t going to achieve the full potential hammer price unless you provide a full and complete service record. Proper maintenance is important on any car - even more so with cars like this.

Also - has a diagnostic been run to establish if the car has ever been over-revved? In recent years this has become a critical part of buying any Toyota V6 engined Lotus.

Finally - some clarification please on whether this car has the standard fit “long ratio” gearbox, or the optional Sports Ratio gearbox.

Also, further to my last reply above, can you confirm when the following were last changed please:

- Spark plugs
- Gearbox oil
- Brake pads front and/or rear (and disks if changed)

Regarding the tyres - it sounds like 4 new tyres will be required, is that correct?

No response from the seller but my assumption is that this needs 4 new tyres yes. Safety aspect never mind any needs for the next mot, another advisory or otherwise.

Hi Paul,
Can you answer some of the concerns noted above.
If you can’t, I’m afraid I’m out.

Regarding AC Compressor. I know this brand new replacement from the USA has been used and has been totally reliable. At $379 plus shipping it is a fraction of the cost of OEM.

To clarify I know of it being used on other Evoras not this car.
