I received this email scam, from a 'promotional company' claiming to be based at Newcastle Airport (Nigeria?) as a matter of curiosity does anyone know what the actual Scam is?

Part of the scam is also to get you to send them money to get things moving.
There is actually a web site dedicated to this, cant recall the address, its actually a number, the number relates to the sort of charge sheet they issue in Nigeria for those caught. Interestingly enough there was a guy on the site who scammed the scammers, he set up a false company in the UK, purely web based, and conned the Nigerian out of about a grand, interesting site if you can find it.
For gods sake dont answer the emails, if you do, then they know someone is active at your email address, and bombard you with even more,
In the past week I have had two similar ones, plus one from Barclays bank (whom I dont bank with), and one from the Fulton Bank, both wanting to reconfirm all my banking details.

On Radio 2 last year old Terry Wogan was going on about these Nigerian Scams, there was one which involved an alledged "Nigerian" up in the space station, and his government couldnt afford to get him back, so plese send me some money, and the silly buggers did.........................
