EV charger with a looped in supply?
Discussion
Just found out from a local electrician that my house in on a looped in supply which can make it difficult to install an EV charger.
I'm told I'll need to contact my energy suppliers to ask them to remove the loop, has anyone had experience of this in terms of cost and are the supply company liable for the cost?
Thanks in advance....

Not directly but freind had one removed. Cost is covered by the network provider but when he had his done their neighbour was a pain in the arse about it.
Great, thanks for the reply. My neighbours are looking to install EV chargers too so hopefully we could tie it all together.
Fingers crossed

Our supply was looped at our main fuse. One cable from the road to our fuse, and next door's supply daisy chained from that.
I thought that there would be a new cable laid from the road, but all they did was expose the cables under our driveway and make the join there instead of at our mains fuse.
Groundwork contractors dug hole and exposed cables on day one, technicians spliced and made potted connection on day two, groundwork guys backfilled and made good on day three.
Neat job, all paid for by DNO. (SSE)
