Recommendations on places to live on the South Coast

Reaching out for some advice and recommendations.
I’ve had enough of Surrey life , and am looking to relocate .
So I’m looking around the south coast . I do love Bosham but try and find a property with a large garage and a bit of space for £700k .
Looking for a 2 bed property , with study. South face garden , large garage within 5 miles of the coast .
Any thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated.

The problem you have is that most of the south is expensive to live.
If you're want coastal living, have you considering Hayling Island or the Isle of Wight, where house prices are much cheaper than the mainland?
Agree, you won't get a property in Bosham however on the outskirts of Chichester and between there and Havant, they've been building loads of houses on farmer's land, just on the outskirts of the South Downs.

Go west. Dorset coast, Weymouth to Lyme Regis.
This is a bit over budget and probably too big for you, but it has "a range of outbuildings", and shows you should easily be able to find something suitable in budget.

I used to rent that for £5 a week back in the 70's I did know the lady who owned it but she was away at University all the time. It was in those days two dwellings and I see it's been knocked into one decent sized property as it was a bit pokey at the time. I notice the parking area on the road has been removed, I've got a photo of my Roman Purple Lotus Europa parked in it when I lived there.My father in law lived in Bosham for thirty years but moved back to Kent 3 years ago to be closer to us(he is 95 now).

House prices down there are rising all the time, so to get what you want for that sort of cost will be quite difficult anywhere along the south coast in a decent area

I don't have any links to properties for sale, but I lived in Hamble for many years and was very sorry to leave. It's pretty centrally located for Goodwood, Thruxton and Beaulieu, as well as an active PH monthly meet, attractions which, as a certifiable petrolhead, I took advantage of as often as possible. I lived there for 18 years as an exiled Geordie, have been back in central Newcastle for a decade, and miss Southampton very much. There are many worse places to live.
I wouldn't go near Bosham either. The whole area between Chichester and Havant is becoming a continuous corridor of new housing filling literally every gap. Big distance between the 2 access points on to the A27 and when the regular road closures happen due to incidents on that stretch it is absolute carnage on all the local roads. But if you like new build estates then it is perfect!
