Are there any good places to sell secondhand bike gear?
I've tried FB market place and Vinted without success, will try the bay of e next, but I was wondering if there were any motorcycle specific places?

Only the ones you have tried and evilbay of course.
Some forums but they aren't that big
Give an idea on here?

I'm a member of ukgser.com. pay about £15 quid a year for access. Well worth it. Active forums and very active selling sub forums. Sold quite a few bits ..motorcycle gear and other stuff. Never had a problem. Seems a good community with a large number of members. It's not just GS centric despite the name. A great source of all motorcycle, knowledge advice etc
It's a fact that I originally found pistonheads through a recommendation on ukgser.com

I didn't want to fall foul of any selling rules.
But you would of thought selling, what are essentially, brand new boots would have been straightforward

I've found eBay good before. The more information you add like colour and size, makes it easier for people to find with filters.

I buy all my stuff second hand and always use vinted. Strangely when I want to buy leathers or jeans most motorcycle riders seem to be short fat blokes ie 40 inch waist with a short leg !

To be honest, if you've listed it on the places above then the only issues are that it's either priced too high or in a size that nobody else wants.

I've sold loads of stuff on there and not had any issues. Most of it has been gone within a few days.

I've sold quite a bit of used bike gear on eBay. Accurate descriptions, plenty of photographs (including any wear or defects) and setting a low starting bid usually works.
I wouldn't try and sell a helmet but gloves, boots, jackets, trousers all go. Some people are skint and others just want to try something before committing to spending big money, for example kevlar jeans.

Use eBay. Price your gear properly and respond to questions. It will sell (probably to me).

Ebay mainly. I've two boys who race minibikes, and keeping them in kit is a full time job. As they grow out of and crash stuff so quickly. I find womans boots perfect for smaller feet, and most are barely used...

I've used FB marketplace for MX stuff which worked well, but it took some time to find everything.

Size 8 boots, unused, £160. Can't see them for less than £250 at any reputable retailer
