2020 Discovery sport start/stop not working

We’re currently away from home with my wife’s 2020 discovery sport.p, it’s the diesel Mhev version.
After a 270 mile motorway run I noticed that the start/stop wasn’t working, and that it was idling at just over 1k rpm. It’s also used more fuel than we expected.
A restart sorted the high idle, could this have been a DPF regen?
I’m wondering if the DPF could be partially blocked causing the issues.
Almost all of her driving is runs of over 30 mins at 50-70mph so we don’t generally have issues with DPFs.
The car has has a few electrical faults in the time she’s had it, like not using 4wd when it’s below 0c.
Any ideas?
