I'm looking to get an electric company car, which is the overall best option.

Choices are:
Tesla model 3 or Y
Polestar 2 or 4
Merc CLA
ID 7 match S plus
EV6
BMW iX3

Help, there are so many options, I know charging with a Tesla is great, how long will the others catch up?

Thank you all for your feedback.

Might help to say what type of driving you will be doing. e.g commute to the station 3 times a week or regular long schleps across country or motorways, that kind of thing.

I would test drive them and see which one works best "for you" on the motorway, both from a road/wind noise perspective, as well as how well the adaptive cruise/steering etc works.

User case?

Need a Boot ? or a hatch ?

I personally think the deals on the Tesla Y, and all it does, Especially the Charging network, makes it the one to have.
Does not make you lust, but it just fecking nails it.

I've only ever had a Tesla long range - the reason I bought it (in 2020) rather than anything else, was because I did a lot of long distance drives and that was the easiest option.

Now the Tesla chargers are open to others, it does change things so like you I would have a long list of potential replacments. I would try the ones you fancy - if it was me I would be happy getting another tesla but the ix3 and Merc appeal too.

Company cars did used to be diesel though? Plus diesel is a no brainer to cover long distance motorway driving as well in my view. I do appreciate that electric is cheaper to run if you can charge from home though in comparison.

It's an EV thread and he's obsessed with EVs. Only natural he'd be in here with multiple comments.

Polestar 4

Have had a M3, Polestar 2 DM, I4 M40 and Polestar 4 DM.

Have driven a few others and apart from the odd software glitch the Polestar 4 is my favorite for longer motorway driving.
