Cold morning, jumped into the car and obviously turned on the heated seat.
As per normal both lights came on but switched off after a couple of seconds.

I assume the fuse is OK, otherwise lights would not come on.
So, either the switch or a heating element broken?

Anyone had a similar issue and what was the solution.

Thanks

Similar (exact same in fact) issue - no solution. Dealer shrugged. New heating element required which I seem to remember means buying quite a lot of the seat.

Mine's still dead which is a shame as I love heated seats.

Yes I’m a great fan of heated seats as well.
Will have a word with the dealer but I guess now out of warranty will be an expensive fix.

Wonder if it's the same gubbins as they put in Dacia's? They do share a few interior bits.

Might be a cheaper option.

Thanks, they will be doing the annual service in January so might put both together if it is possible.

Good morning,

Your details have been passed onto me regarding the driver’s side heated seat no longer working on your vehicle.

We are unable to order just the heating elements alone, we would have to order a whole new seat base, the costing for the part, labour and VAT is £1984.83.

If you’ve not had a technician look at it before I would recommend us having a look into it first just to see if there’s any other resolutions before we replace the whole thing.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks,
Daisy

I have exactly the same issue. A google search on it showed that a reset of the infotainment system may resolve it. I haven't been able to do that so I popped into my Alpine dealer and they are going to investigate on Wednesday. I'll keep you updated.

I had the same issue with my 2021 Legende. Afraid its a new seat base. I raised it with Alpine UK as I've owned the car from new and has FSH with Alpine. They gave me a contribution of just 10% which I wasn't too impressed at. I ended up paying just over £1000

On the plus side, I have a lovely new leather seat base.

Thanks - I'd appreciate any (good) news!

I wonder what the actual issue with the heating element is? Doesn't happen a lot in other cars but when it does can simply be down to a broken wire or something which obviously needs the seat base to be dismantled and wires checked for electrical continuity etc. and then with a comparatively cheap fix.

Obviously dealers won't have the time or inclination for this so you end up spending £££ outside of warranty. Hopefully no flaw in the actual design which leads to a reoccurrence.
