Dog DNA tests?

We adopted a 5 month old black Lab earlier this year from a Labrador charity, he’s a lovely hound, but we have no idea of his breeding (he had 2 homes before he got to us, I think the first owner under estimated the attention a young working dog needs!)
I started thinking that it would be interesting to learn a bit more about him, does anybody have experience of dog DNA tests?

My son got us a dog dna test last year -
It was from a company called Wisdom Panel
Quite thorough, and it shows links to any other relatives your dog has on their database-our dog has a brother on the system, complete with photo-dead ringer for our dog unsurprisingly

Yes we used Wisdom Panel for a test on our Romanian rescue. Not more than 10% of any particular breed, but it did fairly accurately describe his likely full grown size (40kg +) and temperament
