Recently acquired a 2006 DB9 Volante and want to connect my iPhone or iPod. In the glove box there is a 13PIN lead and so I purchased a Bovee 1000 to support Bluetooth, hoping I could connect my phone. The Bovee lights up when connected and connects to my iPhone via Bluetooth but I can’t figure out how to play music. I also disconnected the Bovee and connect my iPod. The IPod screen reads Denison 500 but again I can’t figure out how to play the music. I have taken all the CD’s out of the changer and tried each one of the 6 disc slot choices but to no avail. Any advice would be most welcome.

If the system is like the one in Jaguar, you need to select the source in the menu. There are radio, CD, and input. You need to select the input.

If I recall it correctly, you also needed at least one song downloaded to the phone and/or have an active music service subscribed (like Apple Music or Spotify).

Just to close off this post, i went to see James at Aston Installations where Lenny and James fixed the issue. Turns out the switch on the Denison Gateway needed looking at and the gateway resetting. Very happy as I now have Bluetooth audio and Lenny also kindly fitted an uber discreet USB port so I could plug in my entire CD catalogue I had had ripped last year to to a USB storage device. Highly recommend Aston Installations and heading back to them in the spring for servicing etc.

Good stuff Curdster. Aston Installations are absolutely superb and James and Lenny know the electronics and infotainment systems on these cars inside out. Glad you managed to get it all sorted out. BRM.

+1 for Aston Installations. A previous owner installed their Apple Car Play/Android Auto system, which I couldn’t get to work properly. They (AM Installations) were at the AM Vantage Day at Gaydon earlier this year and I asked them to have a look. They pointed out the reset button under the dash, a quick press of which was all it needed. I bought a bluetooth adapter for about £30, which did away with the wire that was needed to connect to USB and everything works fine.
