Hartleys Jelly 6 months off date... for a cheesecake ..
Discussion
Best before or use by? What was the manufacturing date?
Something like that could have a date on it on the basis it doesn't technically last forever, but could still have a long shelf life with zero ill effects.
This concentrated stuff is usually so loaded with sugar it lasts almost forever, packaged shelf life is at least 12 months and even the open life is measured in weeks.

I want to make a cheesecake with the kids over the weekend and have discovered that the concentrated jelly I propose using is off date since March this year.
Is it still safe to use??
Jelly in a cheesecake? What is your recipe? I want to make a cheesecake with the kids over the weekend and have discovered that the concentrated jelly I propose using is off date since March this year.

My record for a yoghurt is a month out

As the above poster, I'm curious about the recipe?

I assume it'll be a layer of jelly on top.
