Transferring warranty on Christmas presents.

Have bought, via click and collect, a Christmas present for my daughter, and paid online by debit card.
Does anyone know how I would transfer the warranty to be in her name?

Guessing it depends what it is and who makes it.
Some companies might just want the receipt, other will have some sort of registration on a website where you can stick her details in and register the product.

Refunds are almost always on the card it was bought on.

That's a good point, I have bought things in the past where I have had to register the warranty. Hopefully there will be a card in the box for that, I should open the box and look!

I believe a gift receipt gets the recipient around this, however, according to AI, for a warranty claim the recipient would need the original receipt.
