Hi there,

I'm in the midst of retrofitting a complete air con system to my 205 GTi, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for somewhere to pressure test the individual components- I'd really like the evaporator pressure tested before installing it behind the 30+ year old brittle plastic dashboard etc!

A few garages I've contacted so far can only do the entire system using the fill valve.

Any suggestions welcome!

Many thanks,
Craig

Rig up an airline and test it yourself ,only need a couple of fittings an air supply (an electric tyre inflator) and receptacle large enough ,or soapy water spray

Any proper air con engineer would be able to, too.
NB A garage/fast fit with a regassing machine and a ½ day course on using it is not necessarily one of the above.

Couple of fittings, a foot pump and a bucket of water?
