Hello all,

As a lifelong motorsport fan, and more recent convert to the world of watches, I had the chance to combine both passions in an online magazine I edit.

See what you think of my selection:

Not too shabby, but also consider:

Heuer Autavia

The Ferrari selection is weird when there is the Panerai and Girard-Perregaux Ferrari watches.

The VC driving watch 8s very classy

Nice list and article.
To be honest any of the Ferrari watches including GP and Panerai are little more than sequential licensing agreements and didn’t really add much to either brand. Cheapest used Panerais you can buy these days are often the Ferrari ones.

Good list, well written.

Surprised you didn't include the obvious:

Some of the JLC "Amvox" (Aston Martin) watches are cool. Thankfully the branding is mainly on the back.

Nice article. I agree with your selection although I think I might have sneaked the Chopard Jacky Ickx in there somewhere.

Wrong Chopard, should be this one.

There are also several Schumacher special editions of the Speedmaster. I have this one.

This one is nice too. I'm off to see what they go for.

Should have had a nice Citizen Walter Wolf Chronograph in there as well.

Coblor is another brand to look at for a motorsport theme- Note the site is in German but there's an English option in the top right corner

REC watches probably worth a look. Don't know much about them other than they build watches out of salvage cars.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Timex F1 Rallye

Possibly the cheapest watch in my (very) modest collection but it still makes me smile.

Picked it up for pocket money and it actually keeps surprisingly good time!

Note to self: really must give it a re-lume…

Love the Monaco, always have, but there's something that stopped me getting one and I can't put my finger on what it is.

Daytona is a classic but an obvious one.

Love the VC too, but always seen it as a lot of cash for a wonky face.

I used to own a Heuer Jacky Ickx Easy Rider. It is the cheapest way in to a vintage Heuer (about £500), albeit it was from their budget range back in the day.

I picked up this similar era Rotary years ago for a few quid, polished the crystal and it runs like a champ! Original strap is a bit of a hair puller though.
