Is anyone here going to Aston Martin Bicester?
Discussion
It is at the April Bicester Scramble. I have the dates, but cannot release them as yet to the public (Bicester instructions).
We have 30 Ringfenced tickets for cars to act as a central exhibit. This includes 60 people tickets.
We have block booked a hotel for Friday and Saturday.
The basic plan is a lunchtime meet on Friday, then visit a local car themed attraction. Friday evening is casual at the hotel, sort your own meals at the hotel or locally, and mingle & chat.
Saturday will feature a second visit location and scenic drive. Saturday evening is a sit down group meal, dress is smart casual and get to know your fellow Vanquish owners.
Sunday is Bicester Scramble as a central display to commemorate the Vanquish Gen 1 25th birthday.
You can join is for as much or as little as you wish.
Your only costs is the hotel booking, directly paid by you. We have a discount code for the group. You obviously also buy one of the 30 display tickets. There is no fee involved or admin charge. The only costs will be hotel (if you use it) and the entry fees for any visits and the Scramble entry fee.
PM me on here with your full name and phone number so I can add you to the Admin WhatsApp group where we are managing everything,
We still have places left, but any overflow can still buy non display scramble tickets from Bicester Motion. Any spare space on the display can be utilised by those with a standard ticket. But you are also still welcome to join us at the hotel and our weekend activities.

Hi, I would probably be joining if my calendar allows me to do it. I don't know yet but i'm willing to ;-)We have 30 Ringfenced tickets for cars to act as a central exhibit. This includes 60 people tickets.

I did think it was a bit draconian and so responded. They also deleted a load more posts from my history, some from months back. But I never got a reply to my response asking why they thought I was advertising.
I noticed that too. Very poor moderating I thought, just to be shut down with no answer. I had hoped they'd sent you a PM with the explanation.VanquishRider said:

I can remember numerous events of a similar non-profit nature, where there were lengthy discussions on PH about arrangements etc.
None of those posts were tampered with by moderators.
Burghley - a huge event, enjoyed by all Aston Martin owners who attended.
Open day at St Athan.
Regular Beaulieu events for Aston Martins.
Prodrive open days.
Brooklands.
British Motor Museum.
Nick Masons annual garden party.
Penshurst Place.
~ ~ and others which I cannot remember.
Why PH should have picked on Steve, I don't know.
It reminds us of the jobsworths, who decided they would fine a lady £150, after she poured the dregs of a coffee cup into a street drain. The council involved eventually cancelled the fine, not because they admitted behaving in a ridiculous manner, but because they wanted to stop the ongoing publicity, which was portraying the council as fools.

It will be nice to see BH celebrate a British brand as a change from the constant diet of Porsche and BMW they seem to major on.
If you mean PH, I do wonder why Aston Martin is listed under 'Other Marques'.Brands with their own sections are BMW, Lotus, Mini, Porsche and TVR.
Yet Aston Martin is dumped in 'Other Marques' along with Kit Cars, Chinese Cars, INEOS and something called a Zenos which hasn't had any posts since 30 Jan 2024.
A while back I pointed this out to PH Towers and suggested Aston warranted its own section. To my surprise, instead of getting 'Ah yes good point we'll fix it' I was asked to 'make a case' for Aston Martin, at which point I lost interest.

I am down for Sunday. Friday is a maybe but I have the Dirty Reiver gravel bike race on the Saturday up at Kielder Forest, so it's going to be a busy weekend, with a lot of driving.....

Perhaps the PH regulators are all fans of a German firm, whose sports car range now consists of 80% SUVs.
