Create your hypothetical supergroup with one caveat
Discussion
You can pick any musician at the height of their respective career and combine into one supergroup. The caveat is that you can't have any members who were part of the same group.
Here is my example. Admittedly, this may not work as a coherent unit.
Vocals: Linda Perry
Guitar: Joe Walsh
Bass: John Paul Jones
Drums: Keith Moon
Writer: Jim Steinman

Some interesting selections so far with surprisingly few duplications. Hopefully we can keep the suggestions coming.
It seems that Led Zeppelin members are the best represented, which isn't overly surprising.
I wanted John Entwistle as my bassist but couldn't lose Keith, so went with John Paul Jones.

That sounds like I great start - for a different sound I would have Lex Claypool on Bass!Guitar #1 Josh Homme
Guitar #2 Jerry Cantrell

(as a side note note checkout out the Lennon Claypool Delerium - Les Claypool & Sean Ono Lennon)
