Picking up my fourth Aston tomorrow.

Got my first about 10 years ago which was a lovely 09 Manual DBS, sold it for a Granturismo MC Strad.
Then came a Launch Edition DB11, that was a short love affair due to the limited rear seats.
Which lead to a late Rapide S Shadow Edition, great car, but the rear seats nearly as useless as the DB11 for my use case

Now picking up this tomorrow..

Its got a few nice options too:

Reversing Camera £995.00
Alarm Upgrade Volumetric & Tilt Sensors £295.00
Paint - AML Special £3,495.00
Brake Calipers - Black Painted £995.00
Contrast Carpet Binding £395.00
Stitching and Welt - Contrast £395.00
Leather - Colour Palette £995.00
Black Vaned Front Grille £495.00
Convenience - Homelink® Wireless Control(GDO)£295.00
Piano Black Interior Trim Pack £495.00
Mirror Caps - 2x2 Twill Carbon Fibre - Gloss £995.00
Carbon Fibre Performance Seat With 6-Way Adjust £2,495.00
Roof - Gloss 2x2 Twill Carbon Fibre £1,995.00
Gear Paddles - Carbon Fibre £1,995.00
Rotary Switch - Dark - Dark £495.00
Shadow Bronze Jewellery Pack £495.00
Side Strake - 2x2 Twill Gloss Carbon £995.00
Black One77 Steering Wheel w/ Alcantara £995.00

Very nice indeed and you’re right, Lightweight Seats are rare in any Vanquish derivative. Very well done sir.

Indeed a lovely car and the lightweights are very rare in a Vanquish. I think id read somewhere less than a dozen or so cars with them!

They do look epic in a Vanquish, and as you'll see really do transform the driving experience in a positive way (well they do in the V12V/S anyway!)

Congrats

If the weather has been as mild and dry by you as it has been here, what an excellent day you've had with it too!

We have a few Gen II Vanquish owners in our group. Next Vanquish activities are the 25th at Bicester (April). Strictly Gen I for the display but all Aston's welcome. Then we have the annual VDO in may in Northumberland. 3 days Wednesday onwards. PM me if you want more details or adding to the Vanquish only WhatsApp group.

ooh lightweight seats

When I purchased mine Aston Martin thought (but did not seem completely sure) that there were only 9 Vanquish made with lightweight seats across both 6-speed and 8-speed versions.

I am aware of 4 of these (maybe 5 but one example may have been the same car twice). I keep thinking I should try and make a proper register.

I certainly would not have purchased my car if it were not for the interior. Enjoy yours, I saw it at AM Bristol and it looked wonderful.

Some more information on lightweights in Vanquish (E&OE):

According to info I got from Aston Martin they only made 9 Vanquish with Lightweight Seats. It was an option on both 6-speed and 8-speed cars and made available in August 2013.

The quilting on mine was specified by Aston Martin Q as it was their own car prior to my ownership (and registered 'V12 AML'). I have seen maybe 5 of the 9 cars and all are very different in their interior treatment and colour schemes.

The 'Easy Entry' button found in the Vantage with lightweights does not exist on Vanquish with lightweight seats since they made so few and it was not worth the engineering effort (though it is in the User Manual for the car). It is a 2+0 configuration only and no heated seats or lumbar support adjust or side airbags. So you also get unique waterfall and seat adjust switch packs.

2+0 was in fact the default for Vanquish with 2+2 an extra cost option. I would say likely 95% were specified 2+2 despite the rear seats not being of much practical use. Since lightweight seats precluded having a 2+2 it could be why so few were so specified. I would not have purchased a Vanquish without them though.

Mine was also a MC-Victory but I literally just sold it as I also have a Granturismo MC-Stradale (2-seater) - you will see there is a theme here with lightweight seats!

I must update my profile on here as I also have 2 Alpinas which I see also on your previously owned list!

Ive also had a 2 seater mc strad (unfortunately without the racing harnesses) and also a gen 1 continental supersport with the light weight seats
