Well, a stopped Labour clock is right twice a day, but I welcome this news. PCC's are a pointless added layer of officialdom that nobody will miss when they're gone. See also NHS England.

Oh, and where I live, there's a pointless Town Council. That can go too.

Sadly there will be a shedload of redeployments and redundancy payments.

Also they will still need to re-create the Police Authorities (or some Body) to hold the Police accountable

Excellent news, I have been saying for a while that the PCCs are a failed experiment. Many of them were failed politicians, given the job as a consolation prize by parties.

Bad news though, she's selected as Conservative candidate for Mayor of Hampshire and Solent, which I assume she will get. She will oversee policing from there.
