So I dropped a power drill on the TV over the weekend, no damage I thought. Maybe coincidence but it has now started to flicker and the picture has lines all over.

Current TV is a Sony KDL48 as far as I was concerned it was good enough for me.

What should I replace it with ? Just looked at JL thinking maybe Bravia 8A, Bravia A90K or LG OLED48C56LB. I dont want to go over 55" nothing is worse than a TV too large for the room.

Is there something I am missing? Or just go for the one I like the look of lol

I've been doing a lot of research into this recently as my LG OLED55CX recently packed up due to an overheating main board.

The clear winner at this price-point is the LG OLED55C5 (or the 48C5 if you want 48"). They're ahead of the Sony's in terms of overall picture quality and it's where my money would go. Richer Sounds have some good deals on with 6 year warranty.

My LG OLED55CX5LB is starting to give trouble, the apps are sometimes failing to load. Thankfully it’s still under warranty so it should be sorted. I bought it in June 2021.

How do these compare to sky Glass the latest version? The sky subscription is way beyond contract and I keep forgetting to sort.

I've had no issues with the apps (bought mine in May 2021 so similar time to you) but it would just shut off randomly. This started to happen more and more, especially on 4K content. I took the back off and the main board out and it's all burnt where one of the processors is so I managed to source a replacement board on Ebay for £150. Hoping that will cure it or i'll have to buy another.
