Hot topic I know!

I have loads of loose drill bits, wood, HSS, SDS etc. I'd like a neat way of storing them and wouldn't mind hearing some ideas.

In my head, I'm probably imagining a deepish tray (maybe 100mm ish) with lots of small compartments so different drill bits could be stood in their assigned sections. I cannot for the life of me find anything suitable!

May not be large enough for what you want though.

Cheers. I like those but not really what I need as I have for example multiple 10mm Masonary bit says or multiple 5mm HSS. Just wanted some way of grouping them together in some sort of sensible fashion.

I found this on ebay after my post.

The tall ones might be more the sort of thing I'm after at least for most things. Some of the bigger masonary stuff and SDS chisels etc could live somewhere else I think.

Or this one - much more storage and even cheaper.

Something like this with adjustable partitions?

Probably a bit flimsy if you've a lot of larger bits. (Oh er!)

I use the dewalt tough case - solid solution, with modular additions with smaller cases that clip together, and also connects to tstak tool cases for easier transport (if you use dewalt tools).

A block of wood with suitable size holes drilled in for your bits.

It works well for me.

How do you make sure the holes match the size of the drills?
