Not sure how to minimise this in the best way to make it less noticeable.
I thought perhaps glueing down the bits sticking up and then using a pen to colour in any remaining white bits but there must be a more pro way.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

It’s not an easy DIY, but basically you sand the edges back so its flat, then use some leather filler putty which will work with vinyl, its a very flexible filler, lots of thin layers, dry it between skims with a hot air gun or hair dryer.

You can either use a proper kit to get the texture back in it, or you can do a decent job by dabbing some crumpled cling film on it while it’s still soft. Sand it between layers until you are happy you’ve got it flat. Alternatively if there’s any spare material under the seat where you can cut a small square from use that to dab on to match the texture.

The proper way then is to use an airbrush and blend in some matched paint for leather or vinyl, but you could use a small brush if you dont have spray equipment. It wont be perfect but takes your eye away from it.

It’s a lot of bits that you need to purchase for a one off DIY repair that you probably wont use again, but its not a big repair for a local tradesman.

Thanks for the explanation. That sounds a bit daunting to try myself.

Jobs like that are so satisfying for DIYers.
