Does anyone have any experience with infundibular keratinizing acanthoma (IKA)?

Our dog got his first about 6 weeks ago, we thought it was just a sting/bite but after chewing and licking it raw, we had lump removed. It then went off to pathology (the lump that is) and this diagnosis was returned.

He has since had another 2 lumps come up, both of which he licked/chewed and both of which had to be removed. So that’s three General Anaesthetics in about 6 weeks. He now has another two come up on his tail, we are keeping these covered for now so he can t get to them but eventually he will. The vets say that as they are close together the operation is not as simple due to lack of skin on tail. So a partial dock may be needed. There is a chance they will go down, not convinced, but worth trying before docking.

So my question is, whilst I understand that they are benign, the frequency of occurrence is unmanageable and he just won’t be able to have general surgery every few weeks. Does anyone have any experience with this condition and whether there is a treatment that can prevent these lumps coming up? I have read up on Isotretin (?) but side-effects don’t seem great.
We do have an appointment with Dermatologist at a specialist clinic but not until 2nd December so thought I would ask here if anyone else has had any experience of this.
Should also add, he is a 10yr Old cockerpoo, allergic to pretty much everything, was on Apoquel but recently (post IKA) moved on to Zenrelia to see if it helped .
Thanks in advance
