Used Electric Niro or Kona?
Discussion
Hello all,
I am seeing some very tempting prices on used EV Niro and Kona cars. Some are slightly higher miles (60k on a 2021 - for £11k) and wanted to get your thoughts on what I should look out for. Should I be worried that I if I decide to sell in 5 year (so the car will be around 10 years old) that the value will be very low due to the age of the battery?
I am new to fully electric and have been tempted by the low prices but am wondering if there is a reason for that.
Am I correct in saying the electric Kona has known reliability issues?

Obvious issue with them is bearings in the reduction gearbox - you get a fan-like sound. I think there are repair kits now but how easy it is to get them fixed, rather than just changing the box, I don't know.
I think Kona looks better, but it's very tight for space in back seats and boot. eNiro is bigger.
We ended up buying a new Gen2 Kona - it'll do around 100K in 5 yrs and I've assumed it'll be worthless at that point. Any value it does have will be a bonus.
