Every time I visit the forum, I am logged out. This happens both on home PC and laptop at work.
Password is remembered on computers but website is always logging me out. There doesn't seem to be a stay logged in option any more.

Same here, and unfortunately, could not recover my password for the account I most recently used as my original account was affiliated with my email address.

Similar here, been logged in for years on my mobile but suddenly I'm getting logged out, and my usual login name has been replaced with anonxxxx, and all of my details/bookmarks/comments have been lost.

This comment appeared yesterday on the other thread where this was being discussed.

cookie expiry date is now set to 14 days instead of 10 hours, next time you login you should get a cookie with the new expiry date
I had to login again this morning, but I don't know when the cookie time was changed, nor whether the quote is accurate.

can you please just sign out and sign in again to make sure you are in a good state and let me know tomorrow if it worked? I would expect everyone to be on the 14 days expiry date after the next login....

I've just come back to this after this morning (PC has been switched off in the meantime) and didn't have to sign in again, so it now appears to be working.

No, didn't work for me this morning. Not only did I have to sign in again, but I had to put the email and password in - over the last few days I've just clicked "Sign in" and it's done it without any further prompts.

I notice that the "Remember me" tick box has gone from the new login screen, so I don't know whether it defaults to auto login or not. Now I've typed in my details I'll see what happens tomorrow.

Anything to do with the requirement to use your email address now, and not a user name? I was notified last week.

This is where I'm having the issue. My usual login name is now replaced with a login email, which doesn't appear to be linked to my login name, therefore I'm appearing as 'anon', and all my previous chats/bookmarks/favourites are lost.

Try logging with your googlemail.com address rather than gmail.com.

Your previous account uses the @googlemail.com version of your email; your anon1019 account uses the @gmail.com version (both are the same ahead oif the @ symbol).
