High mileage Volvo XC60 2.4
Discussion
Seen a rather nice looking XC60, in an auction locally to me, full service and recent cambelt and pump (quite important on these) - 2.4 D4 Lux 2014, it has 167,000k on it
Is it worth the risk, I know the engines are pretty solid, had a V60 which had a few niggles, nothing major just remember the engine being great (5 cylinder etc).
Looking for a X2 kids, safe family hauler to replace my E91 BMW 318d

It would be better if it was the D5....;) as they are fairly indestructable.
As mentioned, make sure the Aux belt has been done.
I'd also want to see that the gearbox has been serviced as they are the main weakness on the geartronic.
We had a 2015 2.4 D5, great car, although the turning circle was awful on it, ours also had the 2 built in booster cushions, which were very handy.
Ours wasn't ULEZ, not a problem for where we lived but something to be aware of.

Yeah, its a risk I know - makes me wonder why its in an auction tbh, it is quite a sellable car on paper - albeit the miles are high'ish for a dealer forecourt I expect. Tricky one to muster.
It is a manual this one, and tax is £195 so not too bad, it being the D4 which is the de-tuned D5 engine, still a 2.4 - which is rather lovely.
Nothing at all wrong with my current car (this will be for the wife) - so my feelings are to just keep the E91 and not rush into something this potentially borkish
