Elite Wheels AliExpress

Just wondered if anyone has ordered Elite carbon wheels off AliExpress and if so what shipping method you used?

Likely to order some of these on Black Friday and, the way its worded on their site, it looks like the DPD 80 euro shipping option is almost mandatory. I've read that if you select the free shipping option that they email you to insist/pressure you into going for additional cost shipping.

Has anyone gone for the free shipping and if so what were the results? Did they ship for free? Were there extra customs/import charges?

I ordered their gravel wheels but I was strongly suggested to get DPD delivery so I took that and it was delivered okay. I'd just view it as part of the cost of the wheels.

yip. I have 3 sets of them, 1 road and 2 gravel sets. Covered several thousand miles on them. Other than changing bearings (as the oem ones are rubbish) never had an issue with any of them.

The hubs/freehub are easy to service. They run true, only point to highlight, if you plan to use them a lot during the wet/salty winter, the alloy nipples will corrode and need replacing. That happens with lots of other brands of wheels too, it is not a criticism of Elite.
