Ive just had to move rental garages to another without power and the roof on this one (where I put the solar panel) doesn't catch as much sun and the LEDs on the 'controller/regulator' showing battery charge, are down to 1 out of 4 possible for a full charge.

There was already another panel on the garage door to charge a battery linked to garages LED lights. Would it 'fry' the Chim battery if I connected both panels to it, given that both panels have 'contollers' to ensure that charge isn't continually fed to the battery once fully charged?

I notice on my mains trickle chargers at home that they give out 3.8 amps, so I'm worried that if/when the sun comes out in the Winter months the Chim battery may get hit with 7.6 amps. I suppose it may depend on the max output of both solar panels?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think I'd just fit a battery isolator, it shouldn't discharge with nothing drawing power from it.
