Vodafone PCC tracker functions
Discussion
Anyone have the PCC tracker enabled with Vodafone?
“However, some aftermarket or third-party vehicle tracking and immobilisation systems, such as those offered by Vodafone Automotive (Cobra) or Meta Trak and approved by Porsche for insurance purposes (e.g., Thatcham S5 Plus systems), do offer a remote engine immobilisation feature. This feature is typically managed by a secure 24/7 monitoring center in the event of a confirmed theft, who will then work with the police to locate and, if appropriate, remotely immobilise the vehicle.
These third-party systems often require an additional driver ID tag, and if the car is moved without this tag, an alert is sent to the monitoring center. This functionality helps prevent keyless car theft. “
Was wondering if anybody knew if they could immobilise when moving or if it needed to be stationary?
Not that I m planning a spate of vehicle thefts honest, just debating whether to renew at the now vast subscription cost..

Technically, they can immobilise at any time, but remote immobilisation requires Police authorisation and they are only going to give that if it's safe to do so, in most cases stationary. If they have the car in their sights, I'm guessing they might immobilise it while moving if safe, but I don't have any data to support this.
