I'm hoping the main issue is the fact that he posted Vine's address on Twitter, otherwise this is well over the top.
Edit: I should make it clear that I think Barton is a total
, with multiple charges for assault etc he is not one of life's good people

Not really. If you're on trial for killing two people and get found guilty of killing one the headlines are always going to be that you're a murderer.

It's factually correct.A headline isn't meant to encompass everything.
By that measure pretty much everyone is 'misleading'.

Being found guilty of saying said person is in a job due to box ticking is very different to murder, although the sentence given may be similar.
How is that relevant to headline writing? brake fader said:

Of course it's different but you're not going to see a headline of "Barton cleared of half the stuff he was charged with".Vine has done the double on him.
Won his defamation suit and the criminal case.

Any guesses what his punishment will be?
Maximum is 6 months jail and/or £5000 fine.
IANAL. Maximum is 6 months jail and/or £5000 fine.
I think the max is 12 month now.
They're summary only offences in crown court. Googling it suggests the DPP can apply for a voluntary bill of indictment. Not something I'd heard of before.
Not a good year for him after being convicted of domestic assault. I hope he's not a 'save the girls' type.

There are times when I wish a sentence could be "forced to give a sMaximum is 6 months jail and/or £5000 fine.
tload of money to a domestic violence charity" or something.brake fader said:
If he gets jail for this he may as well just have punched vine in the face the sentence would be the same. Surely a fine would benefit the state more than costing the tax payer to lock him up.
Given the way things have been lately I am not sure he would have a lesser punishment for punching Vine in the face than posting hurty words on the internet.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
