Sad news that the so called father of ground effect has died . I reviewed Peter's autobiography last year and highly recommend it - a fascinating man .

Very sad news indeed, he once made some time for this particular fan to answer some rather arcane questions and provided fascinating answers.

A truly influential guy and clearly a highly regarded and liked one.

I worked with him briefly and have to say he was a real gentleman. He was always happy to talk about the lotus day and you could stand and listen to him for hours & hours.

Yep that was my brief experience of talking to him, i had loads of questions around BRM, the 79, 80, 81, 86, 88, and 92 and the insight (and stories) he provided were absolutely fascinating.
Privileged to be able to speak to him, and just from my short time with him it was clear why he was liked as much as he was respected.

That's sad news. I read and enjoyed his autobiography earlier this year, bought in a local cafe that I believe he frequented.
