Morning Pistonheaders,

How many miles have been on your new A110 when you've picked it up from a dealer, brand new purchase ??

Just want to verify if what we have is normal. Ours was on 50 miles, which seems high for a new car ?

It does, yes. Not a pre-reg no?

Mine was 32km when I committed to buy. Before the delivery I asked for oil replacement since the car was sitting in the dealership more than a year. On the day of delivery I saw that it was 85km. When I asked about the difference they said after the oil change they have to test it for ~50km.

Everything which is more than 10km was surely used for customer test drive.
Absolute nonsense to test it after oil change for more than 1km.

True story: I used to work for a Nissan dealer and we did dealer swaps nationally. The cars were driven, rather than transported, but without the speedo cables. Some cars went to Scotland and back and were due a first service by the time they were sold. It came on top when a customer found that his speedo didn't work and a speedo cable in the seat pocket.

Brand new unregistered A110 outside showing 14.8 miles, however a trip to and back from a compound (depending on where it is situated in relation to the garage) could easily add another 10 miles to the compound we use, the old compound could add 20 miles.

Also some cars have further road tests at the factory before being transported to their destination, a few years ago we had a Megane Trophy turn up with circa 50 miles on it.

Mine was on 43 - they seem to be either ~15 or ~50, and I understand it's because of....

This is likely to be a factory quality audit process - an extended test drive of a certain percentage of cars off the line, essentially to confirm the driven experience meets standard. All cars get a short check, some get the longer one. The OEMs I've worked for do this.
