We are off to Naxos next June and are spending four nights in Athens- three on way out and one on way back.
Not too bothered about the one night but would like a decentish hotel for the three nights. Budget around 150-200 pn and pool would be nice!
Cheers
We stayed here. Great rooftop pool, and being able to sit and look at the Acropolis while you eat breakfast was pretty special. Not too bothered about the one night but would like a decentish hotel for the three nights. Budget around 150-200 pn and pool would be nice!

The area it’s in is nothing special but the metro station is right outside so it’s a very easy trip into the city centre

We had two weeks at the Social Hotel (just a few minutes walk to Syntagma), it's a Radisson Individuals boutique hotel. The rooms are small but very comfortable and well equipped and we didn't bother with breakfast at the hotel because I was on a time restricted eating regime at the time so just walked down the road to the Lozenge Hotel restaurant for a coffee and often went back there for lunch too, the staff are lovely and we were granted free deserts as we went so often.

Several people on here have mentioned free deserts in Greece as if they've been singled out for special treatment. Just to let you know, you haven't. Lots of eating establishments in Greece give you a house desert and raki when you've finished your main course. It can vary in size from a couple of mouthfuls all the way up to a full portion. Some are fabulous, some very ordinary and a few are what I would assume are an acquired taste.omniflow said:
