Most of the PH photography consists of scenes that were there anyway, and the photographer, using skill and effort, placed his or her camera in the right place and took the shot.

This month I'd like you to have a go at creating a scene. People have been doing this since the 19th century so there's good precedent for it. For instance, it could be a still life, a food photo, anything where it's clear that the photographer made it happen specifically for the photo. I'm not thinking here of a car parked at an angle across a road with an attractive background, I'd like something more imaginative than that.

In the event of a tie, preference will be given to a photo taken specifically for the competition.

The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
Entries and discussion on a single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Winners should update the Competition Wiki (it's easy)
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.
If after 7 days of a competition ending, either a winner has not been declared, or the winner has not created a new thread, a new thread should be started, with the topic set as whatever the topic was 10 years ago, based on this wiki.

My ex-fiancee would win this easily. She was excellent at creating a scene.

Slightly macabre, but these were given to me when I worked in healthcare by a retired Army Colonel.
Her speciality was field amputations. The small implement with the wheel is for digits and works like the tool that cuts brake pipe.
The saw needs no explanation.
