Alpine a290 gts - no sound

Hi, picked up my new a290 gts in matt grey, but there is no sound from speakers. Done a soft reset, hard reset and even disconnected the 12v battery for 30mins, all to no avail.
Been working with solihull on those attempts, now booked in to solihull for diagnostic check, but can't get me in until 20th Jan 2026, yes months.
My car is on the salary sacrifice scheme so will be getting a courtesy ca etc, but wondered if anyone else had experienced this?
It's basically like there are no speakers, everything works fine, volume indicator goes up and down etc, but no sound from audio, sat nav, Google, telephone, people can hear me off hands free I just can't hear them.
