Question for regular Le Mans visitors

This is a question to all fellow TVR-enthusiasts who seem to attend Le Mans every year in huge numbers.

I read in several publications about how many of you are attending WITH the car and i read that there are a few THOUSAND TVR's around. First time i read it i thought it was a zero too much, but a few weeks ago i read it again in a different publication. Is this true? if yes you see me 2006 as well, but i'm affraid i won't leave the TVR parking lot! (do they have their "own" parking? or are they all around the place?)

Its true and you would see them all over the camps...normally in regional TVR Club camps.

I don't know about a 'few' thousand but easily a thousand TVRs tend to get there from what I've seen/heard...anyway what do I know having been only the once (twice if I count quali)

Alf is right...probably nearer 1000 in all...

We normally go in a convoy of about 15 cars from our area, and there are lots of others doing the same. Once at LE Mans, camps are set up in the regional groups to which you belong and you'll usually find that as these groups have booked their camping via the TVRCC, most of these groups are in the same area of the campsite, which means large numbers of TVRs!....

This year it was most noticable on the short daily drive to Arnage to stock up on yet more Baguettes, Merguez and Beer
Almost every car was a TVR, Elise, Morgan, 911 etc.
Instead we played the 'lets count the boring car game'

I was very excited when I spotted a knackered 1985 Ford Escort!.

Its quite a strange sight.

The French must think that every other car in the UK is a TVR. Convoying down was simply awesome. It was like an 8 hour trackday.

It normally averages out at about 1,400 TVRs, no specific parking but no real issues for the cars (there is always something better nearby!) Just be sensible, lock it and don't leave valuables in your tent and there's nothing to worry about!

Is that 1400 in the campsite? .....we and a large number of friends, always stay elsewhere in the Loire Valley as do quite a few other TVR owners. This may bump the numbers up a bit!
