Might have to rein back on our idea of 2 weeks DIY around Cape Verde due to some health issues in the family.

Can anyone recommend somewhere they've been in the Med that was decent AI? Not chavvy hell...

Thanks!

Ikos have a few all-inclusive resorts around the Med. I've only been to their one in Mallorca, and it was excellent. Not particularly cheap mind. Have mates who have been to the mainland Spain ones and Greek ones, all feedback very positive.

Second the IKOS resorts, especially if you go for the 'Deluxe Collection'/Premium tier.

They are pretty much all in Greece, the Mallorca one is good, Mainland Spain is the runt of the litter. Incoming ones in Portugal, but the Greek ones are the best in my experience.

There is a 'super IKOS' being planned for Kalithea to take it to Sani levels.

That said, we usually go to Sani as we don't really fully benefit from the AI and way prefer the Sani set up & service.

We have done a few TUI Adults Only ones and not found them to be “Chavvy hell”, depends on your budget of course but we always end up spending about three grand for a week for two, can spend a lot more of course but never seen anything unseemly on one.

They are all much of a muchness though, and I find them a little boring.

Agree re TUI, not bad as such just a bit same old same old. Tried self catering this year and I think that'll be us from now on.

We've had good results with Jet2's All Inclusive Plus packages - all premium drinks included and normally a selection of a la carte restaurants you can eat at to get away from the food hall. They were all in Cyprus, so

Olympic Lagoon - both Ayia Napa and Paphos. Lovely hotels, not chavvy at all and some tasty dishes available in the restaurants - the Pan Asian was particularly good.
Napa Plaza - much smaller property, right in the middle of Ayia Napa high street, so suspect it's crazy in peak season. We were there last week though and there were hardly any Brits there at all, mostly Dutch and Polish. Lovely Italian restaurant attached and part of AI Plus and a great location for a night out in town.
Leonardo Crystal Cove - first hotel we stayed at in Cyprus, nice little building with a fantastic tavern next door, bit out of the way so taxis are needed into Protoras/Ayia Napa.

We just did Ikos Aria, Kos. It was fine, but don’t really get why people rave about Ikos - they have an almost cult-like following. You don’t need to do deluxe - there little practical difference.

EasyJet Holidays have been pushing Ikos recently, you’ll get every imaginable extra thrown in for the flight and there’s a £200 off coupon on the website just now.
