3 series seats
Discussion
Hey guys
A friend of mine has an 03 Plate 320Ci convertible. I find the seats to be quite unsupportive, particularly in terms of thigh support - they don't extend anywhere near to the back of my knee.
I quite fancy buying a 3 year old 325Ci Coupe but need to know: Do BMW make another kind of seat which is more supportive? I do a lot of miles so comfort means a lot.
I sat in a new Saab 93 Aero recently and the seats were beyond comfortable. Is anything similar available in the 3 series.
Many thanks
Gavin

Got to say that the standard e46 seats are a disgrace. How any car manufacturer cam claim to make great drivers cars when the standard seats are so atrocious is beyond me. I know that the sport models have better seats but IMHO it should go without saying that all models should have the best, most supportive seats available. The sports models should be offered with the more lightweight race bucket style, as an option.
The seats in my 89 e30 m3 are better than my e46, where's the progress.......

Interesting - I find my E46 330ci seats pretty good. Maybe they're sports seats? they're better than my previous car - an E36 325i. I have a pull out thigh support which comes out a long way. I get sick of passengers pulling it off trying to roll the seat forward though!! My 325i one broke in the end
