So lots of 500 pound vans with 200,000 or more miles on them, in my area on gum tree etc

How much will the cheapest insurance cost for this type of van I appreciate there are many variables but just give me an approximation

Thanks friends!

At a guess, between £1 and £10,000.

Just get the registration off one of them and stick it in a comparison website.

Just because they are £500 you can still do the same amount of damage to the 3rd party as any other car

Too hard, they want someone else to do the work.

Last response may not be fair (if the OP is struggling with things), at least he’s trying.
Don’t have any beef with you though.

Things can be hard/challenging - we all been there.

I don't want to put a downer on things but a van worth £500 is going to be scrap, insuring it is going to be the least of your problems.

OP, the cost of the insurance will depend on your driving history - licence, experience, any past claims etc. as well as the type of vehicle so it's not something anyone here can give you much help with.

As said, there are plenty of comparison sites you can use, or find an old-school broker with a phone number, who you can actually talk to!

You have asked about cheap vans before. I always reckon with a cheap vehicle, you should expect to spend the same again on getting it up and running. So if a £500 van needs £500 spending on it that's maybe worth doing, but if it needs £900 then don't bother. It's not a perfect rule of thumb, as someone will no doubt point out, but it helps.
