So after parting with my E36 328i sport that I had owned for the last 21 years after a deal was put to me based on a swap and other factors involved , I am now the owner of a 986 3.2 S !! It has been meticulously looked after , IMS/RMS all taken care of , a top end refresh, some internals upgraded , Dansk sports exhaust, H&R suspension and Arbs , just a few mods to mention, this is a real little beast and just eats up b roads and gains speed very quickly, more to come but here are some images, a lovely example and I feel lucky to now own her 👌🏻

Great cars and still underrated. Can need lots of expensive suspension work but get a good one and there is no car that can beat them for ownership enjoyment for under £10k.

Seal grey? My favourite colour for a Porsche of this era.

She is indeed seal grey 👌🏻 as mentioned she has has a massive overall and now benefits from full H&E suspension and ARBs , was previously owned by a figure on social media and was used as a resto series, £1000’s spent and you can for sure feel and see it 👍🏻

If you can DIY the cost is not that bad.. Probably works out similar part cost wise to an E46.

Thankyou chaps, she really does seem to be a peach, I’m pretty hands on, worked on the E36 myself , I have already in the few days of owning the 986 changed the frunk latch actuator and ordered rear tuning forks will be fitting this weekend, cannot get over how tight she feels and for a vert she’s doesn’t rattle atall, really solid little car and loving it.

Looks good.

I like Seal Grey but am biased as the owner of a Seal Grey 987.1 S. There’s a lot of metallic fleck in the paint in the sun.

They certainly seem to be a bargain consider how well they drive.
