Hi.

Hoping the internet wisdom might help me here. I've had my M4 for 3 years or so. Mostly reliable, Had the turbos replaced not long after i bought it. Now i have a new problem.

The car was serviced 3 weeks ago. First decent run after i get a drivetrain fault. Dropped the car into limp mode. No CEL. Upon restart it's fine. drives normal again.
This happenes 2 more times before i call the garage that serviced it. I take it back to them.

The codes present are:
1c0102 Engine oil pressure control , plausibiity, staticressure to low
1c2002 Engine oil pump: pressure to low
130104 VANOS intake: control error, camshaft stuck
120408 Boost pressure control: shutdown as a follow up reaction.

the garage have replaced the Oil pressure switch and the Oil pressure control valve. They're now saying it needs an oil pump as there s valve on there that opens and closes when the engine demands more presseure.

Are the s55 engines known to have oil pump issues?

Any other advice or things i might try?

Thanks.

First thing I'd be checking is the oil filter to ensure the 'o' ring and bird cage are present.

It does seem to very much look like the issues. But the garage assure me it's not the case. And have in fact changed the filter again.

It just seems to coincidental that the pump would fail RIGHT after the service.
