No thread on this I believe.
I've just finished reading the expose in Private Eye and have been reading about the various "scams" the individuals have been lining their pockets with.

How on earth are they not being called out on the utter corruption and cronyism going on there?

Other activities are selling expensive gear to the NHS via relatives, plant hire, demolishing things in the night and some pretty nasty behaviour.

Why no enquiry?

I've been reading about it in PE for years with increasing incredulity that the main players have not been arrested as how can it not be a massive scam? What should be an economic boost for the region has mostly made two wide boy 'developers' very rich for not doing much of anything.

It's pretty sickening reading and seeing this all happening with next to no ability to recourse. Houchen up to his neck in it (presumably dragged down by his pockets) and Sunak had been promoting it all.
