HIgh Mileage A110
Discussion
Hello Everyone.
Probably dangerous to my chances of securing this vehicle but I have just spotted this new listing on AutoTrader linked below. What do you think there is to look out for in a A110 that has done 77k in 3 years? I haven't really heard of any reliability problems with A110s but not many are driven this hard

As you say, there aren't many that have done this sort of mileage so there's not much experience of what to look for in a high-mileage A110. There's no reason to question the engine, as there are plenty of well-used Meganes still going. As with any A110, I'd look carefully for corrosion (not a problem in itself, with a 10-year warranty, but worth checking); and for broken springs. Also make sure it's had the fuel pump replaced -there was a recall on this, so it should have been done. Otherwise, it's the same as any secondhand car, I think.
77k in three years is impressive, I'm approaching 2 years and will be at about 32k.
For me, the car feels as good as ever, no suspension issues, engine wise I am changing oil every 6k rather than 12k, gearbox oil at 18k rather than 36k.
If you can see if has FSH and been well looked after it should be fine!

A110 Legende MY 2019; now 65.000KM and counting...car is the daily of my girlfriend and does regular trackdays/roadtrips. To be fair; at the start of ownership we had a lot of warranty issue's (all rater small issue's) that where obviously fixed under warranty.
The two biggest (warranty) issues were near the end of warranty periode;
1) Corrosion on a lot of areas on the paint (same what some McLarens have) and the car was repainted on all area's besides roof, trunk, frunk, front and rear bumper. The anti corrosion warranty on the Alpine is 12 years.
2) A valve in the turbo broke and got stuck in the catalytic converter. This meant replacing the turbo and catalytic converter = expensive!
This being said; I have a lot of friends with A110 cars and ours was the only one with all these issues. From my experience the more reliable Alpine's are the one from MY 2020 (they also have some cooling updates the olders MY models did not have). All the other cars in my friend group are from MY 2020 and none of them had the issues we had. I would also stay away from the Premiere Editions...

It's really pleasing to see some higher mileage use of an A110. Mine's the same age (71 plate) and just ticked over 16k miles. Shameful, I know, but it's not a daily.
I've always maintained though I won't be precious about miles. It's a keeper and its not some highly strung Italian. 77k miles on any car in this day and age shouldn't be anything to be concerned about, and particularly not one that uses a lot of well proven oily bits from a mass manufacturer.
I'd very much hope an A110, properly maintained, would see 177k miles without much of an issue.
I wouldn't assume the car advertised has been driven hard, it's probably just been driven a lot (23k a year) and that's likely a good thing if it's all longer distances.

Fo reference; my daily car is a 2016 M2 and this car does 25K each year,,,so not so strange the mileage when used everyday. I've always maintained though I won't be precious about miles.
