Thought it would be interesting to hear how you discovered this place. So many folks hang around from a long time ago.

I was at le mans in 2003, houx annexe. I remember seeing many TVR's with piston heads written on them. I remember seeing stickers along the sills.

Looked it up when I was back and seems I joined the forum that August.

Surely there are some more exciting discovery stories than my one!

It was originally Petrolheads and was only updated once or twice a week, with a TVR focus. Back when that was how internet sites worked...

Wanted to ask a few questions on "technical " spec on a 911 so googled, found the forum and joined.
More boring a tale than yours but suspect much more common.

One weekend I decided to park at Virginia Water lake after a ride out on my motorbike. The car park, usually the preserve of Honda Accords, Ford Focii and of course the odd Range Rover, had been filled with all sorts of sporty exotica. Turns out it was a Pistonheads meet. Wandering around I got chatting to one guy who took me out for a spin in his Ferrari 360 - the first time I'd been in a modern Ferrari. I don't remember his name or know whether he's still a PHer, but I remember his car well. I have a photo of it parked in my driveway. The reg was V880 MMO. Thank you, whoever you are!

That must have been approximately 155 months ago.

I replaced the windscreen rubber on PHer Transmitter Man's De Tomaso Longchamp after he couldn't find anyone interested in taking it on.

It was his introduction after the event.

A company I was working for were making the smiley stickers so I looked it up and didn’t think much of it back nearly 20 years ago, looked again several years later and found people ripping a guy in a cowboy outfit, ChemicalChaos I think it was, and ended up hanging around.

Bought a TVR in '97, and picked this site up from the TVR Car Club. As someone above says, it was called Petrolheads in those days.

I used to be a member on BarryBoys, and someone had spotted a modified car on here, and reposted to Barryboys.
Sadly the website has been archived now, but it led to many evenings of internet forum trolling.

I went to pick my keys out of the bowl after a good swinging session and must have picked up the wrong keyset as they had a PH sticker on the fob.
I was curious as to what depravity PH could be Searched the internet for PH and here we are!

Someone on the old Tyresmoke Network forum recommended it. I started using it then and never went back to TSN which seemed to die (with no postings for years) not long after.

I used to be on an old bulletin board site called British Cars BBS which was primarily for TVR and Lotus owners and it was mentioned on there.

Was Le Mans 2003 when PH sold the yellow T-shirts and we all got bothered by every flying bug across LM?!

I discovered PH researching to buy my first TVR. Joined about 6 months after browsing for info and think I bought the example I did via PH.

In 2006 I was looking for a Viper GTS. Found one here on PH (which I bought) and then continued to hang around on the forums.

I found it when I was looking up a mod done to the BMW 330i which I was considering, and found mention of it on a PH thread. I joined it to chat to the bloke who'd had it done to his car, to ask his views. He was very helpful, turned out we were quite local and he even invited me for a spin in the car to demonstrate.
